When Shangguan Ling and his master teacher visited Central Planes they heard that after twenty years the mysterious flag, Duohunci, appeared again. It killed the notorious gangs on the East Coast like it did before, punishing evil. But it also executed the righteous Chang Zihjyun and his families only his daughter Chang Biyun survived.

      In order to invest the abnormal acts of Duohunci, the respectable elders of the martial arts circle, Ciankun Wujyue, came out from retirement. Coincidentally they found out that Shangguan Ling was a talented member of the younger generation, so they taught Shangguan many excellent wugong. Before long people realized that there were two sides both calling themselves Duo Hunci; one was righteous and the other was evil. The righteous one was controlled by Jhu Ming and the evil one by Ji Tiancyue. However the flags they proclaimed to be the real one were both false. The original Duohunci flag belonged to Jhong Li the old man, Jhong Li Laoren.

      Later on Shangguan Ling learned the background of Ji Tiancyue. Ji, a dishonest person, wanted to dominate the martial arts circle so he took over the secret wugong book Youming Shihsan Jing and injured his ex-partner Yen Yuanjing who shared the ownership of Youming Shihsan Jing with him. After leading a hermit life in practicing wugong, Yen believed that it was the right time for him to fight back. On the other side, Ji Tiancyue formed a new Ciankun Wujyue party intending to replace the original one and so he can rule the martial arts circle; however he and his party members were defeated.

      The righteous Duohunci controlled by Jhu Ming kept helping the poor, so Jhong Li Laoren the old man formally authorized Jhu Ming to be the commander of the new Master of Duohunci.

      The girl Chang Biyun, whose family was massacred, learned excellent wugong but lost her memory. Shangguan Ling guided her to her family's tomb, then gradually she recovered. They came across Ci Tiancyue he with his newly formed evil ally, they were just defeated. Chang Biyun and Shangguan Ling circled them at a cliff edge before they finally felt off the cliff.
