| Liusiang Ling
The respectable Ciang Shangfong, leader of the southern martial arts circle, died. His
oldest son Jiang Bucing was suspected to be the head of the devious Heici Ling gang, and
his second son Jiang Hancing was poisoned by Bucing. Hancing met Li Guangjhih, leader of
the northern martial arts circle, at the doctor's place. Li was also poisoned and was
threatened by a devious gang Cingci Ling, but Li defied them.
Both Heici Ling and Cingci Ling belonged to the ambitious organization Wufongmen. It
schemed to dominate the martial arts circle. Heci Ling, Cingci Ling and three other
branched organizations were led by five females, and they always dressed in men's
costumes. The head of Wufongmen was called Yulao. Her wugong had been too excellent to
have enemies prior to being defeated by Donghai Shuangsian thirty years before, after
which she disappeared.
When Jiang Hancing recovered he allied with the nine Schools and four Families to fight
against Wufongmen. At the same time a group called Liusiang Ling also joined them.
Liusiang Ling had many excellent martial arts masters and the leader was Jiang Shangfong.
He had pretended to be dead when Wufongmen forced him to join them. Li Kuangjhih also
recovered and they found out that Jiang Bucing was an imposter. The real Jiang Bucing was
detained secretly, so members of Liusiang Ling rescued him. The headquarters of Wufongmen
was finally demolished when the alliance of Schools, Families and Liusiang Ling joined
together to fight them.
There were some love affairs taking place between the young masters and mistresses. For
instance, three important female leaders of the Wufongmen organization all fell in love
with Jiang Hancing, and one of them betrayed the organization, one was killed when the
organization was attacked and one became a Buddhist nun.
Many characters in this novel disguised themselves. One would suddenly find that spies
were hiding in the corners, or his (her) best friends were imposters. Suspenseful,
thrilling, with a good ending it would make readers smile upon finishing reading this
book. |
