Dongfang Yu

      Dongfang Yu is the penname for Chen Yu, or Chen Hanshan, which is his other name. He was born in Shanghai in 1921, graduated from Shanghai University and moved to Taiwan with the KMT government. His first novel Zonghe Cinlong was released in 1960; it started his three-decade writing career. His series can be founded in newspapers published in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Suspenseful plot, elegant words, occasionally cross-dressing scenes and happy ending formed his standard writing style, such as in Zonghe Cinlong and Beishan Jinglong.
