| Siao Yi
Siao Yi is the penname of Siao Jingren. He was born in
Shandong Province in 1936. He resettled in Taiwan in 1949. He had studied in the Naval
Academy but then withdrew when he realized that he had no intention of staying in the
Navy. He started writing wusia novels when he studied in the Department of Chemistry in
Chungyuan Institute of Technology. He eventually suspended his university studies and
became a professional writer because his novels were very popular.
He kept writing for several decades and apart from wusia
novels he also wrote plays for China Television Co., CTV, and published a few hundred
essays. He emigrated to L.A. in 1976. He was famous for writing love affairs in his novels
and his well known works include Cidao Caihong, Hancing Kanjian, Maming Fongsiaosiao, Gan
Shihjiumei and Siaojie Jindao. |
