Ou Village, which was a traditional clan settlement, stands in the southwest part of
Kinmen, facing the sea to the southeast. Because it is facing the sea, it is pleasantly
warm in the winter months and cool in the summer.
Today, Ou Village,
overlooking layers of buildings interspersed with interlocking streets and alleys, is for
the most part in a state of disrepair. Who knows when the people who lived here will
return to their hometown and return it to its original state.
