The Lyu residence, Sicun

A source of pride for the people of Kinmen, Lyu Shih-Yi (honorary name Sicun) was a famous calligrapher who lived in Sintang. He achieved the impressive feat of passing the provincial level civil service examination.

Lyu Shih-Yi taught in Sicun, and his fame spread far and wide. Because of his work, he came to earn the respect and gratitude of the villagers, and was thus given the honorary name of Lyu Sicun.

Today, the Lyu family shrine still has a plaque designating him as a 'filial son'.
