●Origin The Taipei Chinese Food Festival has been held once yearly since 1990. Various regional styles of Chinese and Taiwanese foods are presented. This yearly event provides Taiwan's Food industry the opportunity to showcase the latest trends from the island. Prominent chefs gather annually to create and promote new recipes bringing Chinese cuisine to the international stage. In order to accelerate the promotion and make it one of Taiwan's key events, the Tourism Bureau organized the Taiwan Food Festival by combining the Taipei Chinese Food Festival together with the Taipei Season for Chefs, which is held by Taipei City Government and Taipei Tourist Hotel Association.
●Activities The exciting and colorful presentations of the Taipei Chinese Food Festival have been warmly received each year and attracted participants from different countries and more than 100,000 visitors each year. This event helps to grow the importance and popularity of the Food and Beverage field and contributing to the upgrade of the standard of this field. It also has successfully explored and promoted food-related tourism opportunities and introduced the tradition and beauty of Chinese cuisine to overseas friends.
